Turkish armored vehicle maker Otokar has announced a $1.47 billion export contract for several types of wheeled armored vehicles and logistics support. The company disclosed the deal on Turkey’s Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) in early October 2026 but did not name the buyer country.
Key details
- Value: approximately $1.47 billion.
- Scope: multiple wheeled armored vehicle types plus logistical support. Exact models and quantities were not disclosed.
- Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2027, in batches over three years, within a seven-year contract.
Why it matters
The deal is larger than Otokar’s 2024 contract with Romania for 1,059 COBRA II vehicles (around €857 million), previously reported as Turkey’s biggest single armored vehicle export. It shows strong global demand for 4×4, 6×6 and 8×8 wheeled armored platforms, and for the spare parts and support that keep these fleets running.
